The Gloster Meteor F.8 was one of the Royal Air Force’s first operational jet fighters after World War II. Improved over earlier variants, it featured better maneuverability and increased firepower. Aircraft WH480/M was flown by Squadron Leader John “Dusty” Miller DFC, a respected British pilot known for his service and experience during the transition to jet-powered aviation.
