Handley Page Halifax B.III “Friday the 13th”, LV907, NP-F, No. 158 Squadron RAF, RAF Lissett, Yorkshire, 1944-45, 1:72, Corgi,
The Handley Page Halifax was one of the RAF's principal four-engined heavy bombers of the Second World War. The B.III introduced Bristol Hercules radial engines in place of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engines used by earlier variants and saw extensive service with RAF Bomber Command.
LV907 “Friday the 13th”, coded NP-F, became one of the best-known Halifax bombers of the war. Operating with No. 158 Squadron from RAF Lissett, it completed an exceptional 128 operational sorties. The Halifax reconstruction displayed by the Yorkshire Air Museum carries the “Friday the 13th” identity in tribute to LV907
