The Harbin Z-9G is a Chinese military helicopter derived from the French Aérospatiale AS365 Dauphin, manufactured under license and subsequently developed by the Harbin Aircraft Industry Group. Designed as a multi-role platform, the Z-9 family has been employed in transport, reconnaissance, anti-tank and armed support missions by the People's Liberation Army. The Z-9G variant was specifically developed to provide close air support and anti-armor capabilities, being equipped to carry anti-tank missiles, rocket pods and machine-gun armament. Its compact dimensions, high maneuverability and reliable twin-engine configuration have made it one of the most widely used indigenous military helicopters in China. The Harbin Z-9G remains an important component of the People's Liberation Army's rotary-wing aviation assets and represents a significant step in the development of China's domestic aerospace industry.
