This model depicts Harvard IIB KF625 "Cymru Am Byth" of No. 1340 Flight RAF, operating in Kenya in 1955 during the Mau Mau Uprising. Although designed as an advanced trainer, these aircraft were equipped with fragmentation bombs and a single .303 Browning machine gun for counter-insurgency operations against Mau Mau strongholds. No. 1340 Flight flew thousands of operational sorties during the campaign, demonstrating the remarkable versatility of the Harvard in combat service. The Welsh motto Cymru Am Byth ("Wales Forever") painted on the aircraft made KF625 one of the best-known RAF Harvards.
