Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 “Yellow 12”, 6./JG 5 “Eismeer”, Petsamo, Finland, March 1943, with Diorama, 1:72, Dragon Wings

Jagdgeschwader 5, known as “Eismeer” (Ice Sea), was a Luftwaffe fighter wing primarily associated with operations in the far north of Europe. Its squadrons operated from airfields in Norway and Finland, principally fighting Soviet forces under particularly severe Arctic conditions.
Dragon Wings reference 50333 represents a Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 identified as “Yellow 12” of 6./JG 5, based at Petsamo, Finland, in March 1943. Its winter camouflage reflected the demanding environment in which the unit operated.
This release differs from other Dragon Wings JG 5 Bf 109G-2 models by including an airfield diorama base, allowing the aircraft to be displayed as part of a small operational scene.
