Mirage 2000N "La Fayette Escadrille 100th Anniversary" 2016, 1:72, Hobby Master

Escadron de Chasse 2/4 “La Fayette” inherited the traditions of the famous La Fayette Escadrille, formed during the First World War by American volunteer pilots who flew for France before the United States officially entered the conflict. Its distinctive Sioux emblem subsequently remained one of the unit's best-known symbols. The centenary of the La Fayette Escadrille was celebrated in 2016. To mark the occasion, a Mirage 2000N of EC 2/4 received a spectacular commemorative colour scheme. The official centenary ceremony took place on 20 April 2016 and included French and American aircraft such as the Mirage 2000N, Rafale, F-22 and B-52. The commemorative aircraft also appeared at the 2016 Royal International Air Tattoo. The Ramex Delta display received awards at the event, while the centenary Mirage's special livery was voted best scheme by the Friends of the Royal International Air Tattoo.
