This model depicts one of the first Mitsubishi MU-2J aircraft built in Japan in 1963, representing the beginning of a highly successful aircraft programme. More than 700 aircraft were produced and exported worldwide for executive transport, air ambulance, aerial survey, navigation aid calibration and military liaison duties. Its innovative design and remarkable performance established the MU-2 as one of Japan's most successful post-war aircraft.
