TOS-1A, Heavy Flamethrower System, Russia, 1:72, Panzerkampf

The TOS-1 is a system originally developed in the former Soviet Union, which is mounted on the chassis of a T-72 and which consists of the best known variant of a 30-rocket launching rocket (in the original system the denomination was Ob.634 or that of TOS-1M), creating in turn a reduced capacity version of 24 projectiles (Ob.634B or TOS-1A) that is a multiple rocket launcher, whose rockets usually carry thermobaric warheads. The system saw action originally in the battle of the Panjshir Valley, during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. The TOS-1 is exhibited for the first time in public at a military stop in 1999 in the city of Omsk. The TOS-1 is not used by the artillery weapon in the units of the Russian Ground Forces or in its strategic Rocket Forces, but it can be found in the auxiliary defense units in ABQ environments.
