North American P-51B Mustang USAAF 357th FG, 363rd FS, #43-24823 Berlin Express, William Overstreet, RAF Leiston, England, Spring 1944, 1:48, Hobby Master

P-51B Mustang 43-24283 c/n 102-24700 was originally assigned to Bud Anderson as "Old Crow". When Bud moved on, the plane was assigned to Lieutenant Bill Overstreet also of the 357 FG. Overstreet had the new name "Berlin Express" painted on the left side of the engine cover and a winged Mustang on the right side. One thing Bill was known for was flying planes under special structures. He once flew under the Golden Gate Bridge and most notably chased a German plane under the Eiffel Tower and shot it down.
