Spitfire Mk. VB BM124 was one of Irish ace "Paddy" Finucane's fighters in 1942, while serving with No. 602 Squadron RAF, based at Hornchurch. Marked "LO-D," this aircraft bore a green trefoil, Finucane's personal marking. He flew it on successful missions over occupied Europe before falling in combat later that year.
