The Chengdu J-20, which translates as 'Multipurpose Interceptor 20', is a fifth-generation aircraft of the People's Republic of China. This stealth-equipped fighter was developed and manufactured by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Corporation for the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). It is presented as an advanced option in air combat, especially compared to its Western counterparts. The J-20 is designed not only for air superiority but also to carry out ground attacks, becoming the third fifth-generation stealth aircraft to be operational in the world, after the F-22 and F-35.
