The Z31 was a German Destroyer Type 1936A (Mob), which was completed in 1942 and served with Kriegsmarine during World War II. He spent much of the war in Arctic and Norwegian waters, participating in the Battle of the Barents Sea on December 31, 1942. He survived the war, and passed to the French Navy as spoils of war, serving under the name of Marceau until 1958.
